This Michaelmas term, we’re going to be starting the Oxford Colleges’ Table Tennis League – a chance to put your table tennis skills to the test with some healthy inter-college competition! With 44 teams signing up for cuppers in Trinity 2014, we realised there could be demand for a league to be set up. Cambridge already have a College league, with 33 teams contesting 5 divisions. Starting a college league in Oxford is therefore well overdue and will help to build Table Tennis across the university.
Table tennis half-blues and other top-level university players won’t be allowed to enter, so the Colleges’ league will be a great chance for other players to compete in some good matches. We’ll try to form divisions of 5 teams, so the commitment to play a match every two weeks of term should be easily manageable.
For all the details, have a look at the League and Cuppers page.
If you’ve played table tennis at home or in college, then the Oxford Colleges’ League could be for you. Find a partner, form a team and we look forward to your entries!
