For beginners

We run relaxed and friendly social sessions three times a week for beginners who just want to enjoy table tennis casually. Don’t worry if you don’t have another player to bring along. Plenty of people come alone and then just match up at the sessions. To stay on top of the newest updates and any changes to our session times, please sign up for our mailing list here. We also provide bats and balls for these sessions if you don’t have your own. To find out more about the types of players we cater to, please scroll down. To find out more about membership and how to join, click here.

For intermediate players

For those with a little more experience we have a development squad that benefits from an extra structured session with dedicated coaching. We operate the development squad by invitation only, so if you are interested in joining please get in touch.

If you are not yet sure whether you want to become a member or not, you can sign up for updates here (mailing list)

For advanced players

For members of the main squad we provide elite support with structured sessions. Normally squad members have the chance to represent the university in our high profile matches throughout the year: BUCS Individuals and BUCS League, Town vs Gown and of course the famous Varsity Match against Cambridge. The team spirit at OUTTC is what sets us apart as a club!

BUCS League matches take place on Wednesday afternoons/evenings during Michaelmas and Hilary and we have two Men’s and one Women’s team who compete against other universities in the Midlands.

The squad trials will run in week 0 or 1 in the Michaelmas term (exact dates TBA). If you miss out on trials and feel you are a suitable candidate to play for our university team, please contact us.

Para Table Tennis

All of our sessions are inclusive. Please do let us know if there is anything we can do to make table tennis work better for you!

Training sessions and competitions will be held in line with University guidance and health advice.
